BROOKHAVEN | Professing love through Legos

ATLANTA — A local filmmaker is raising the bar for marriage proposals.

Walter Thompson got especially creative when asking his girlfriend of four years to marry him — he created a three-minute stop-motion video depicting details of his relationship with 28-year-old Nealey Dozier, acted out by Lego characters.

The 29-year-old University of Georgia graduate said he was careful about every detail, including the clothing the Lego characters were wearing. He said it took him hundreds of hours to create the animation.

Naturally, Dozier said ‘yes’ after watching the film representing the Brookhaven couple.

Dozier, a food critic and blogger, met Thompson several years ago when they were both living and working in Los Angeles. They plan to get married in April 2013.
