Andy Murray celebrates Wimbledon win by watching Made In Chelsea series finale

Andy Murray celebrated reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals – by watching the Made In Chelsea series finale.

The scripted reality TV show follows the loves and lives of a group of rich kids and socialites in wealthy Chelsea.

Andy tweeted that he had been forced to watch the show by girlfriend Kim Sears.

He wrote: “Good day at the office today, My girlfriend has forced made in chelsea on me tonight! Bottom drawer #painfulviewing.”

Later he added: “I think I just threw up….”

Earlier in the day Andy smashed his way into the Wimbledon quarter-finals tonight in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – then apologised to them for being sweaty.

William and Kate cheered the Scot through his last-16 game with Frenchman Richard Gasquet as SW19 baked in sweltering sunshine.

Murray said he had no idea the newlyweds were coming, but met them minutes after leaving Centre Court.

He said: “If I’d known they were coming I would have shaved.

“I was thinking to myself as I came off I was sweaty and very hairy.

“I said to them, ‘I’m sorry, I’m a bit sweaty’.

“But yeah, it was really nice.

“For me those things are always quite difficult because there’s lots of people around, so it’s not the most natural way to be introduced to people.

“But it was very nice to get to meet them.”

After breezing past Gasquet in straight sets, fourth seed Murray turned on his heels and bowed extravagantly to the Royal Box as William and Kate were already on their feet applauding him.

Saying that the pair congratulated him, Murray added: “No, I hadn’t planned on doing it before.

“When the Queen came to our match last year we were told she was coming and that we would bow when we went on and off the court.

“But today we weren’t told anything.

“So it was just yeah, off the cuff.

“I didn’t think too much about it.

“If it was funny, that’s fine, but I wasn’t intending it to be funny.”
